The design constitution

The written standard every screen follows.

A written standard for how every screen in the system speaks. A serif lead that answers one question; a quiet working middle in the ledger’s own voice; tabular numbers; plain English; nothing that merely decorates. Truth outranks beauty — partial data stays visibly partial.

It exists so that a hundred screens built over a year read as one calm room, and so that a new screen can be judged against something written down.
