Shelter is the office software used by the people who work at Hub Realty. It is used by staff, not by the public. This page says what it does with a Google account when a staff member connects one.
When you connect, Shelter can read the Google Sheets you already have access to, and write to a cell in one of those sheets only when you tap that cell inside Shelter. Every write lands in your own Google account, under your own name, exactly as if you had typed it in Google Sheets yourself. Shelter keeps a sign-in token for your account so it can do this on your behalf; it keeps nothing else from Google.
It never reads your Gmail, your Drive files other than the sheets it is pointed at, your contacts or your calendar. It never sells, shares or sends any of this outside Hub Realty. It never writes to a sheet on its own — every change is a person’s tap, and each one is logged with that person’s name.
On servers that Hub Realty runs itself, not on a third-party service. Sign-in tokens are stored there and used only to talk to Google on your behalf.
You can remove Shelter’s access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When a person leaves Hub Realty their seat is closed and their token is discarded.
